Departments

 

Ushering

The ushering department is responsible for ushering members of the congregation into designated areas assigned for them. They are usually very alert and strategically placed during church services to ensure they attend to the needs of the congregation effectively and efficiently with very minimal disruption to the service. This group show kindness in welcoming members and guests to church. The ushers are charged with maintaining orderliness during services, help to minimise disruption as well as keep the Church in a decent and presentable condition.

Sanctuary Keepers

As the bible says, cleanliness is next to godliness, this team labours to ensure that the house of God is kept clean and tidy. They ensure the building is kept compliant and tidy to ensure the health and safety of all our members and visitors. Liaise and work with other departmental leaders to ensure that the premises are keep tidy and in order at all times.

Transportation

The Transportation Department manages Church parking and premises. They assist members traveling from far and near to church services and events.

Performing Arts Team

The Performing Arts Department preaches the gospel through the writing and production of plays/dramas. Their primary aim is to spread the gospel in a different way which is entertaining to their audience but at the same time depict the truth to the extent that the audience is convicted and as a result led to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Media team

The Media team comprises of the Photography, video coverage and visual projection, They oversee the publications of the church to ensure that photos on all church publications are updated, ensuring that there is adequate coverage of all church services, programmes, seminars and events, updating the picture board and website periodically with up to date photos especially after events, and proactively plan and manage all photography requirements for all church events. Media team also manage the quality of documentation in form of images recorded for the sole purpose of spreading the gospel. They form part of the camera crew and all audio visual technical inputs. They also maintain the Church’s website and ensure that is fit for purpose and ensure that is updated regularly.

Hospitality, welfare and welcome team

This Department comprise of the welcome team, hospitality and welfare. They follow up all the first-time visitors to the church, TGCAN members from time to time, especially those who have missed services for one reason or another. They visit church members as the need arises. This department is responsible for ensuring the welfare of members and visitors. They work very closely with the pastorate, feeding back the needs of the first time visitors, new converts and members. They are a caring team who are constantly ensuring that the needs of everyone are met.

This team also coordinate receptions for those that are visiting or joining the church, as well as members after service, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. They work in collaboration with the pastorate to organise and manage church events and cater for the welfare of special guests and also cater for meetings and other events in church, where refreshments are required. They ensure dietary requirements are built into menus and that all refreshments are prepared in a clean and hygienic manner.

EVANGELISM Team

The Evangelism Team leads TGCAN in its vision to spread the gospel within our communities and beyond. This department helps us fulfil the Lord’s commandment in Matt 10:7 and Luke 9:2. They work alongside the Intercessory department to schedule prayer as the Holy Spirit leads. In addition to the above, they ensure that church leaflets, literature and tracts are available for distribution at all times. They are always seeking for ways to improve our evangelistic efforts and ensuring that TGCAN is relevant to the local community.
